Starting this week we begin offering to performances: an early show starting at 8:30 and a late show at 10:45. When buying tickets online be sure to select the correct show time for the performance you wish to see. This week's headliner, Drew Michael, a hilarious comedian whose unapologetic view on subjects that the majority of us don't talk about can sometimes be shocking, but will have you laughing your head off. Our feature comedian is the super hilarious, Ryan Lowe, a self-admitted uncle Fester lookalike whose comedy style has no equal. In it's place, we have been granted permission to put on an open mic in the space that plays host to the best comedy show in the city. The Friday Open Mic has now been moved to Karma. On the 1st and 3rd Friday of every month, you can catch the cities best comics working out that next genius bit that you will poorly repeating to your friends for months. Here is where you catch lightning. These performers are going to cost $30 to see here in a few short years. Why don't you come out to see how they got there? So you can say "Hey, I saw that guy in the basement of an aptly named tavern so many years ago. This is no regular joe average open mic, though. The first ten performers will be picked on a first come, first serve basis. Those ten will be doing approximately 7 minutes of material. After that portion of the open mic is completed, one of our amateurs will get the opportunity to do a 10-15 set of their best work. Who this is will be determined by a number of factors, all of them having to do with work. Hosts will be rotating. This is just for the inaugural edition of the mic. Desperate to ...restore order, a local collective responds by creating theCoK Battle Royale, in which groups of stand up comics are selected at random, thrown onto an isolated stage, and forced to play a rigorous war game.
